Pastor Phillip's Biography

Phillip L. Pointer, Sr., is the Pastor of the Providence St. John Baptist Church.  He is the husband of Keya Pointer and father of three:  Gabriela, Phillip Jr., and Elijah.

At the age of 14, Pastor Pointer recognized and accepted his call to preach and teach the Word of God.  For over ten years, Pastor Pointer served God as an evangelist, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in churches across the country.   In September 2002, Pastor Pointer was called to the pastorate of St. John Baptist Church.

In October 2005, God gave Pastor Phillip L. Pointer, Sr., and Pastor Carey E. Pointer, Sr., of Providence Baptist Church the vision to unite as one church with two locations.  This historical consummation formed the Providence St. John Baptist Church.

Pastor Pointer is a compassionate and faithful leader, who is both saved and anointed.
