PASTOR BILLY T. STATON, JR.

Billy T. Staton, Jr. is blessed to serve in the Prince George’s County community where he was raised and educated. Under Pastor Staton's leadership, PSJBC has grown from 40 to over 300 members. God has truly anointed him to encourage and motivate people. He desires to see people become effective in their homes, schools and communities and his passion is for them to be changed, delivered and set free.

Before coming to pastor Providence St. John Baptist Church, Pastor Staton faithfully served his spiritual father, Pastor Jenkins and the First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG) family for over 20 years.  From 2005 to 2013, Pastor Staton served as the Youth Pastor at FBCG. 

He is a graduate of the DeVos Leadership Initiative, which is an intense 15-month leadership development program for urban youth workers. He also completed Dr. Joel Gregory's Proclaimer’s Place, an intensive study of Expository Preaching. 
Pastor Staton is a yielded vessel of God who is gifted to minister directly to the hurts, issues and challenges of people with whom he comes in contact.

         He is married to the love of his life, Paula L. Staton and father to their son, Benjamin.
